As I continue on my path with other mother's in Project: Life Change, I am changing the terms by which I lead my working momma life.
- I will give my employer an honest, hard days work*. Overtime will be selective and on my terms. Oh, and there will be comp time.
- I will put my health and well-being in my top 3 priorities. No more making excuses as to why I don't have the time to live a healthier life, I just need to do it.
- I will look for a new position that I find fulfilling and have passion (afterall, if I'm going be doing this for 40+ hours a week, I might as well like it).
- I will put away my laptop until D has gone to bed. Afterall, he deserves my full attention, and I deserve his.
- No blogging or working on the weekends. We are marking that time as sacred family time. I will not pull out my laptop on a Saturday unless its to get directions to a new park or to find out where exactly is that free festival that we heard about on the radio. (okay maybe limited blogging on weekends)
Okay, I feel a little sick to my stomach typing that out. Basically, I only have so much time in a day. So much time in a week. So much time with a sassy three year old. And by golly gee, I'm gonna make the best of it.
*For the record, I typed this post on my 15 minute break this morning. This was the first morning in nearly four years that I took a break.
